It shouldn’t take two breaths to say the size of my shirt but when the best fit is double extra large slim fit it makes me want to avoid shopping all together. People of size seem to be the forgotten shoppers at departments stores. Countless times I’ve felt like an overstuff sausage in a XXL or swimming in a sea of fabric for an XL. It’s either shirts that are the same width as a medium just longer or shirts made to be wide and short. From fashion houses to outlet malls only two buckets can be filled, the tall beanpole or short and stout. At 6’5 255 lbs I feel and told look like neither, just a proportionate man who happens to be slightly taller and broader than my Medium size wearing counterparts. Clothes shopping should not be an exercise in futility but celebration. I look forward to the future when off the rack feels like it was tailored for me by me.
